Whose the best PowToon or Prezi.?

In the last couple of years many people have been searching for innovative ways to create executive, unique, and memorable presentations. PowerPoint was exciting in the early days of its launch, but too many boring presentations led to the creation of new softwares like Prezi and Powtoon. Everyone know that Microsoft Powerpoint it is not the best presentation tool. A few options come close to claim the best free presentation software. In this article, I’m going to show you what the best free presentation software and the best alternative to PowerPoint. Powtoon or Prezi?.
PREZI
      Prezi became very popular because it was the first to offer a real alternative to the typical slideshow format of presentations. Prezi is a cloud-based presentation software that opens up a new world between whiteboards and slides. The zoomable canvas makes it fun to explore ideas and the connections between them. The result: visually captivating presentations that lead your audience down a path of discovery.
Advantages.

1. It’s Free 

Prezi have free plan. Prezi provides access from any web-enabled computer. This is great for students who may not have the Office suite on their home computers. Students and staff can easily create Free accounts on Prezi using their Facebook accounts as well.

2. Breaks the Mold

Prezi is not your typical slide-based presentation tool. You start with a blank canvas and can add and manipulate content anywhere on the page. There is no such thing as a linear, slide-by-slide display method (unless you design it that way, of course). Break the mold and present in unique ways. 

3. The zoom function. 

Prezi opens up as a large canvas filled with all of your information in a creative and unique way. When you want to speak about a particular topic, you simply zoom in on the part of your canvas that is filled with that information. You can then zoom out and zoom into another part of the canvas. Instead of fumbling around trying to find a particular slide, you can smoothly and easily navigate your presentation. When you zoom in, you can pan around that particular area to show more details.

Disadvantages

1. Can Cause Motion Sickness

Prezi sometime makes some people feel a little dizzy. A lot of people have complained about developing headaches or getting dizzy because of all of the animation and zooming that is used within Prezi and it do I. This is totally avoidable if you know what you’re doing when designing your presentation, though. Consider your transitions and make sure that you aren’t constantly moving from one corner of the presentation board to the other (thus generating expansive fly-overs). Making simple moves from one screen area to the next will eliminate the nauseating effects of cross-screen movement.

2. The free account with Prezi limits you to basic functions. 

If you want more tools and options you will have spend a little money.

3. Web-Based

You can only used when there is  internet connection.

4. More difficult to learn interface

The interface of Prezi can seem overwhelming when you first begin using it. Prezi is not usually taught in schools. You’ll have to learn an entire new program before you can begin making presentations.

POWTOON

PowToon is a brand new presentation tool that allows you to create animated presentations and cartoon style videos just by dragging and dropping. It provides the users with all the elements need to obtain a professional-looking video. It's a DIY solution that help you make an animated presentation video with a range of tools. Powtoon allows consumers to create presentations and videos that are animated, interesting, and engaging. 

Advantages.

1. Free account available

You can link with your email or facebook account and it is free.

2. Themes and templates

Powtoon is an intuitive animation platform that guides you through a surprisingly simple design and creation process. It is provide variety of themes and templates.

3. Easy to use

You don’t need to be tech-savvy to create videos It’s easy and fun to use, and it’s engaging to watch the end product. You can import your own images, and the product looks professional.

PowToon uses drag-and-drop of built-in features, props and characters, and easy searching of Creative Commons Licensed images from Flickr. PowToon. Users have two options for display of their work in the free version: they can export the animation to YouTube, or they can play the animation in PowToon in SlideShow mode, which allows for pauses so the presenter can interject further information. A new tool, Slides, is in the works as well. PowToon has made it easy for users to create professional- looking animations with little to no experience.

4. Quality and Effectiveness

Using Audio/Video rather than standard presentation tools moves users away from over-reliance on text to convey ideas and users are able to create more engaging experiences for their audience. The provided objects and music are high quality and varied enough to allow for flexibility and creativity. The added ability to import images and create voice overs allow users to add their own touch to the animation. 

Disadvantages

1. Watermark

The presentations have a small watermark.

2. Several options and features are only available if you upgrade to a paid subscription.

3. Offline version

• Unable to save an offline version of the presentation accept if you upgrade your account.

My Preference

Aside from the negatives listed above, PowToon still seems to be a very popular way to make free presentations, and I can't disagree that it's fun and easy to use.

If you're looking for a quick way to find some nice presentation templates and a whole gallery of images that are instantly accessible for use on slides, PowToon is a really nice choice and it is better than Prezi.

What I Learn

From my research for this both presentation software, I can learn the features and functionalities for both software. Secondly, I can see the better and good presentation software that can I use  to my presentation for assignment that can make my presentation more interesting.
